What an exciting Region 14 Heart of the Blue Ridge competition! The March 2024 event brought together quartets and chorus from South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. After months of hard work under the direction of Dr. Kimberly Graham, with a dedicated music team and our wonderful coaches, the Upstate's Vocal Matrix Chorus proudly walked away with two medals 2nd place mid-size chorus and 2nd place overall! We sincerely appreciate all the encouragement from our family and friends, and from our generous supporters, The Metropolitan Arts Council and the South Carolina Arts Commission.

The storyline (written by the chorus creative team) centers was around Angel, a young shy puppy whose master had left her at this Happy Harmony Pet Resort while she attends a singing competition. Fifi, Ralph and DC, with the Staff/director and other pets in the resort, help Angel find the confidence to "just be Me".
The 15 minute package included the songs: Running Wild, In the Wee Small Hours, This Joint is Jumping and This is Me.
