ESSENTIALS NEEDED FOR MAKEUP APPLICATION
A STAND-UP MIRROR
A standup mirror for application is needed to enable use of both hands. You may use any size but it should be large enough to see most of your face in the mirror.
APPLICATORS
Applicators are of your own choice, however brushes are recommended for ease of application and blending of the intensely pigmented colors of stage makeup.
Sponges are also a good choice for application of foundation. Brushes and sponges allow for the most even application of makeup.
Bring small scissors to trim eyelashes if needed.
Tweezers can be helpful in applying eyelashes.
Cotton Balls and Q-tips for touch ups
Bring makeup remover in case of a mistake and also when going to competition to avoid wiping heavy stage makeup on the towels at the hotel. The hotel staff will be appreciative as it is hard to remove in the laundry.
Use of eyeshadow/lid primer will help keep eyeshadow from moving into creases and is available at many stores, choose any brand you like. This is optional, but recommended.
