"SPARKLE IN BLACK AND BLING"!!!
Classy, elegant, powerful, and professional are the characteristics singers should consider when selecting personal wardrobe items.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS!! A few weeks ago we had some conversation about performance ‘unity’. We talked about trying some out-of-the-box approaches to costuming! In response to that conversation VMx singers will have the opportunity to design/choose a performance !
The following are parameters to help you with selecting a top for this performance! There are photos for inspiration on the VMx website that include tops, shoes, and jewelry. We will have a check in February when we will wear our tops for a singer’s ‘fit’ and a black and bling check across the risers!
TOPS
Black or black with silver - the sparklier the better- as if going to a super fancy party. These tops will be worn with our black chorus pants.
- Black with silver, the silver needs to be true silver - not gunmetal, not dark grey and not white- silver
- Top must be long enough to cover your hips - no visible crotches or fannies even when arms go up for choreography
- Long sleeves or 3/4 sleeve length - no sleeveless, no short sleeve, no cold shoulder
- No low cut or plunging necklines
- No snug fitting tops - must fit loose enough to fall back in place during choreography
JEWLERY
Sparkly silver rhinestone necklace to complement the chosen top. Not all tops will require a necklace.
- Everyone will wear the chorus rhinestone earrings
I will be happy to give you feedback on all selections. Try it on at home with the chorus pants and
sparkly new shoes if you have them. Then take a photo of yourself in a full length mirror and text it to

don’t hesitate to contact me. We will have a full dress rehearsal on a Monday rehearsal in late
February, all singers are requested to arrive at chorus rehearsal wearing your new performance
costume. At that time Kimberly and I will review the chorus black and bling look to be sure there is
balance of black and bling across the risers and make any adjustments necessary! Happy shopping
