MEET THE DIRECTOR
Music & Artistic Performance Director
Dr. Kimberly Graham
Dr. Kimberly Graham holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in both choral and instrumental music. She served for 12 years as Fine Arts Coordinator and Director of Orchestral Programs at a private school in Greenville, South Carolina. After earning a Master’s Degree in School Administration and an EdD in Educational Leadership, she went on to serve as principal of a private elementary school in Greenville.
An accomplished pianist and cellist, Dr. Graham has performed with the Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra, Furman Symphony Orchestra, and Carolina Pops Symphony Orchestra. Her musical experience also includes radio and televised performances as a piano soloist.
Dr. Graham is a charter member of Vocal Matrix, originally Greenville in Harmony, and has been a member of Sweet Adelines International for more than 20 years. During her years on the risers, she sang tenor and served the chapter in numerous roles, including quartet, front row, management team, and assistant director. In 2023, she became Vocal Matrix Chorus’s Music & Artistic Performance Director.
Dr. Graham is SAI Director Certification Program (DCP) certified. In her first regional competition as director of Vocal Matrix, she received the Region 14 2023 Novice Director Award. She is also a certified judge applicant with SingUnited International and is currently trial scoring in the SOUND category at regional competitions.
Under Dr. Graham’s direction, supported by Vocal Matrix’s music team and professional coaches, the chorus has achieved notable success on both international and regional competition stages:
Beyond her choral and instrumental work, Dr. Graham has extensive dance experience in a variety of styles and has participated in community theater productions as well as school and church choirs. She is married and has five children.
